Description: Original watercolor, "Picture Perfect" completed in 2006 by Itzchak Tarkay from his Romantic Portraits series of beautiful debutantes. Features a young woman in a pink dress reposed. Mixed media watercolor and drawing on wove paper, signed in ink by the artist. Includes CoA.
Dimensions: 12" x 12" plus matte and frame.
Condition: Very Good. No damage noted.
Bio: Itzchak Tarkay (b. 1935, d. 2012) in Subotica on the Yugoslav-Hungarian border.Tarkay achieved recognition as a leading representative of a new generation of figurative artists. The inspiration for his work lies with French Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, particularly the color sophistication of Matisse and the drawing style of Toulouse-Lautrec.
