Estimate: $5000-$7000

Description: Late Qing Dynasty Large Dragon tri-pod censer, shortened globe-shaped body is well-cast with branches of finger lemons (Buddah's Hand) and pomegranates, representing wishes for long life and many children and is set to either side with a pair of upright chilong-form handles, all supported on three cabriole legs comprised of an elephants head and trunk making the foot, the reticulated cover in the form of a large coiled dragon amidst clouds, its head forming the knop, the base with shallow cast taotie mask and a four-character mark reading Yu tang qing wan (plaything for the Jade Hall)

Provenance: Item was brought from China in the early 1930s by an American Diplomat and remained in that family.

Condition: Excellent overall condition with some minor issues noted - the basin above one foot has corroded through the bronze and through the bottom of the foot as seen in the pictures.
