Hand-Embroidered "Kalaga" Burmese-Thai Tapestry

Description: Vintage hand-embroidered "Kalaga" Burmese-Thai tapestry, also known as Shwe Chi Doe. "Shwe Chi Doe" is one of the most popular forms of Burmese embroidery. It uses cotton, coloured threads, beads and sequins. Beautiful hand-embroidered vintage tapestry framed, from Burma/Siam/Thailand. This is a wonderful piece made completely by hand with sequins and glass beads. This has a pair of war elephants with warriors atop the great beasts. The item is in a full-frame, gilted shadowbox in excellent condition.
Dimensions: 32" W x 17" H plus frame 44" x 28" x 3"
Condition: Excellent for it's age. Some sequins may be missing. See Photos
