19th C. German Piano Baby

Description: 19th Century porcelain 'Piano Baby'. German original, handpainted baby girl figurine. Very nice bisque and modeling with a wonderful hair style. The dress, fingers and toes are well sculpted. Most likely Gebruder Heubach but is unmarked and un-numbered. Piano babies were created to decorate pianos. Mostly popular in the late 1880s to 1890s, they were still made into the early 1900s.
