Art Glass
At the turn of the 20th century, art glass production was at the height of its technical brilliance. Designers such as Rene Lalique and Emile Galle produced everything from perfume bottles,
lamps and sculpture to the consummate vases and bowls. The market is still strong for their works as well as Daum, Val St. Lambert, Moncrieff and Sohne especially for earlier works from the Art Nouveau period through the 1920s Art Deco period.

The most valuable among those earliest of works are those pieces that pushed the boundaries of the art and technologies of the time including enameling, cameo and inlay, pate de verre, gilding, carving and acid-etching. Galle was the earliest of artists to pioneer a variety of techniques and his imagination and constant adoption of new methods transformed glass making into a form unequaled to this day.
